CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Anthony Sequeira
Chairman
Connectivity, Communication, Collaboration through Innovation is what the CCCI stands for and to achieve these goal, the team at CCCI have been working tirelessly in every possible area.
When I had taken up the chairmanship of the chamber I had two main objectives.
- To share insights on various business topics through monthly seminars by inviting talented resource persons to share their experiences with our members and their family.
- To enable wealth creation for the members and to boost business by collaboration of CCCI members with each other.
With regard to the first objective, our chamber has been regularly conducting seminars for our members which has been greatly appreciated by all.
For the second objective, we have decided to go digital!!! In that direction our board of directors have decided to take a two-step approach. The first involves drastically revamping the CCCI website with a fresh new look and with dynamic features. The second is far more ambitious our very own Chamber’s Mobile App for the members/community that will enable Connectivity, Communication, Collaboration and Innovation.
It gives me immense pleasure to place before you the Chamber’s App and the all new website with the members updated directory in physical form as well as digital.
The advantages by having an exclusive app of chamber for members are manifold, let me share with you few of them:-
- Through app/directory any person can find out details of all members who are engaged in a particular industry/trade/service.
- Once our app is popularized the Christian community as well as others can contact through the app to any manufacturer / dealer / service provider. Members can share the information about their products on the wall of mobile app. They can even upload photos of their products on the wall.
- Similarly any member can deal with another member by using this app. The app provides a detailed transaction report on the transaction status of members in the directory. I am hopeful that this initiative will expand business of our members. I also hope that our chamber will become vibrant and this will motivate others to join our chamber leading to growth in membership.
- With a click of a button one will know about the Chamber, its events, past as well as upcoming seminars/events/activities. The app also has a provision for on line confirmation of attendance (R.S.V.P).
- Through the CCCI App, we can, in association with agencies, bring competitive offers at discounted rates for the members and their families and for the community as a whole and these details will be available will be displayed on the app.
At this Juncture, let me take this opportunity to thank the Board of Directors, conveners and all the members, sponsors, advertisers for the support they have given, the contributions they have made and the efforts extended by the directory committee in designing these applications.
I specially thank Mr. Ronald Noronha and his team at Arokia IT Pvt Ltd. for designing the mobile app, website and member directory.
With regards,
Anthony Sequeira

HISTORY
Mr. Vincent Mathias, an enterprising and a buoyant Christian businessman was the first to visualize and to moot the idea of the formation of a body like Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and thereafter joined hands with a few like-minded persons like Mr. John D'silva , Mr. Henry Lobo , Mr. Gilbert Pinto , Mr. Albert D’Souza , Mr. John Mathew and Mr. Lawrence Coelho and set the ball rolling to help realize the dream of a Chamber. According to the adage “Well begun is half done” after a marathon initial struggle in the form of countless meetings and deliberations, emerged a body in the name of Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry which was registered under section 25 of the companies act 1956 on 27th March, 1998 and governed by the conditions and provisions as laid down in its memorandum of articles of associations.
The vehicle of Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry which commenced with a modest strength, gained momentum over a period of time and with the enthusiasm and support from all over has reached for present a respectable membership level of over 600, hoping to reach a target of 1000 members in the near future.
The Chamber has an independent office with the necessary infrastructure and full time secretariat located at Solaris Building Saki Vihar Road, Powai, Mumbai – 400 072. His Lordship Percival Fernandez blessed the office and Mr. Joseph Menezes inaugurated it on the 25th of September, 2005.
The proud possession of the office by Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry was made possible by generous Christian Businessmen whose names appear on the marble plaque displayed in the office.
